Education in Europe - Creating the future classroom

Introducing European Schoolnet and its projects to European regions

Brussels  |  28 May 2013

Most teachers have been familiar with ICT for teaching and learning for some years but still use it first and foremost to prepare their teaching. Only a few use it – and still to a limited extent – to work with students during lessons, and even less frequently to communicate with parents or to adjust the balance of students’ work between school and home in new ways.

European Schoolnet, a unique European partnership of 30 European Ministries of Education, aims at bridging this gap and embedding innovative practices in schools. Are the schools at your region considering choice of equipment? Would you like to support teacher training? Are you revising school curricula or looking at ways to boost innovation and improve education standards? If you want to learn about how other regions are learning from and experimenting with European Schoolnet projects, join us on 28 May in Brussels.

In collaboration with its projects European Schoolnet is organising this event to present its work to the regions and propose different ways to get involved. The participants will be able to discover also our Future Classroom Lab, a fully equipped, reconfigurable, teaching and learning space developed to demonstrate and test different pedagogical approaches.

The participation is for free but seats are limited so an early registration is encouraged.
