Interactivity, learning scenarios and eSafety - CPDLab event presents opportunies to regions

Over 35 participants representing regions, teacher training organisations and other educational stakeholders joined our event "Education in Europe - Creating the future classroom" on 28 May in Brussels. The event was organised to inform European regional representations on the activities European Schoolnet carries out and on how regional authorities and their teachers can get involved.

The CPDLab project and its teacher training courses were presented largely. Each of the courses consists of ten modules that can be used independently and combined in different ways. Moreover, the course contents will be available for re-use and localisation (translation and adapting) by training providers, under Creative Commons 3.0 licence, for which reason it can be a valuable resource for regions interested in enhancing the professional development opportunities for their teachers.

The participants also learnt some of the results of the pan-European survey in schools: “Benchmarking Access, Use and Attitudes to Technology”. They also had an opportunity to explore the Future Classroom Lab through some activities linked with the CPDLab courses.

European Schoolnet is interested to develop the collaboration with regions further and is open to discuss on possible ideas with regional and other local authorities.
